Whitney Port

I have been following Whitney Port ever since she was seen on The Hills, as Lauren Conrad's fellow colleague. She is unbelievably sweet and easy going, and has an amazing sense of style. Her clothing line 'Whitney Eve' has already been a huge success, and you can see all the drama on this week's episode on The City. From being an intern at teen vogue all the way to PR in People's Revolution and now finally a fashion designer, she has proved to everyone that she can make it all the way to where she is now, with all the support she could get from her family, friends and her boss Kelly Cutrone. THE CITY - If you want something done right

This episode of The City seemed more beneficial to most of us than the previous episode which focused on boys. This time we saw Whitney struggling in promoting her new clothing line, Roxy as the barrier to making things better than what it could've been, Olivia running around to get clothes for the Today Show segment, and Erin getting pissed and upset with her- again. I enjoyed watching how a photo shoot for a look book was actually like, and how much better than Olivia we could've done in just picking out outfits that were more than enough for Erin to be pleased. I was not surprised that Roxy offered suggestions once again, and i know from this episode we have learnt that:

-never get carried away in photo shoots
-never offer ridiculous suggestions to your boss at a photo shoot
-never feel satisfied with your job when your boss isn't happy with you
-never suggest your boss to have an open mind
-never keep quiet to your co worker when both of you are pulling out outfits

THE CITY - Friends and Foe Workers

After watching this episode of The City, I think it would be great to emphasize on how important this show would be as an encyclopedia for those who want to channel their career path towards the fashion industry. Both Whitney and Olivia are involved in fashion, but one is in Public Relations/Designer, and the other is an Accessory Director at Elle magazine. In this episode, all of the girls get to go to Miami Fashion week, where they were given important tasks. Whitney and Roxy were suppose to help out in a fashion show, and Olivia was supposed to check out on the season's accessories. However, this week none of the girls succeeded, except for Erin whose job was to host the Elle afterparty. Here is a list of things I had learn from this episode:

-never forget your pen and paper during a meeting (Roxy)
-never work with your friends in the same company (Roxy and Whitney)
-never sabotage your co-worker (Erin)
-never fight when you are at the backstage of a fashion show (Roxy and Whitney)
-never not go to the trade shows (Olivia)
-never not listen to your boss (Erin)
-never order room service when you are on a business trip (Roxy)
-never comment on your boss when she is still in the room (Roxy)

Whitney Port

I adore Whitney Port ever since she was first introduced in 'The Hills' when she was working with Lauren Conrad as an intern at Teen Vogue magazine. Her face was just so bright and cheerful, and she always looked fresh and happy. This californian beauty had just took to her blog to share with us how she keep her fresh look especially on set of 'The City'. So here's Whitney.

Hi my loves,
I have noticed that a lot of you have been wondering how i do my makeup. I am not a big fan of heavy makeup so the majority of the time I do my own. I stick to the basics of face powder, bronzer and blush. Over the years i have learned how to do my own makeup because we don't have a makeup artist for the show. Here is a little look at my daily routine.

I start by mixing Fresh High Noon tinted moisturizer with the Fresh Soy Face Cream to get a nice base with a little sunkissed glow.
Then I Dust Bare Minerals Powder with SPF 15 to even out my skin.
Next I bronze with Guerlain Number One for Blondes on my cheeks, hairline and jawline.
Then I brush a little bit of NARS Orgasm Blush on my cheekbones, a little on my forehead, nose, and chin to keep it constant
I use Anastasia brow get to give my eyebrows a nice shape (this is especially helpful if i haven't had time to go in to get them done.)
I highlight under my eyebrows with Benefit Eye Bright and then curl my lashes with a Sephora eyelash curler.
Sometimes if I'm really feeling like going all out for the day I put on Maybelline mascara

This look is really easy to transition from day to night. I reapply the basics and use the Stila Smudge pot with a slanted brush to put eyeliner on.
For my lips i love the Fresh Sugar Lip Stain with SPF in it.

Seems like a lot of steps but it really only takes 5 minutes!

Love her!
