Harpers Bazaar + Rachel Zoe
Now that we all know the Rachel Zoe project is back on air, it is only natural for the lovely woman to star in this beautifully designed photoshoot for Harpers Bazaar. What i found way more interesting was that other designers were inclusive of this shoot, and it speaks a lot to just about anyone. Rachel Zoe looks fabulous in all these pictures, even though the designers are planning to kill her!

My Summer picks 2010

First look:
crop tee: macy's / jeans:topshop / shoes:chanel
Second look:
tee: alexander wang / shoes:topshop / accessories:house of harlow
Third look:
maxi dress:forever 21 / shirt dress:ace&jig / briefcase bag:topshop
When i came across pictures of Santa Monica, i instantly got excited and inspired to do this post. I've never spent so much time on adobe photoshop ever, so comment and tell me how i can improve! Anyways, summer vacation is so close now and we get to spend an entire day looking fabulous in wherever you are, as long as its not school. I am in love with floral prints now, but i always like to edge it up and splash a little bit of leather to any outfit i find too sweet. I was browsing on teenvogue.com when i came across these floral jeans from topshop which costs USD$90 which is pretty good for such good prints. Then i thought, why not show you guys how i'd style an outfit with floral prints for the summer.

Night Out

First look:
dress:aryn K / scarf:louis vuitton / clutch:tods / shoe:louise golin for topshop
Second look:
dress:fred flare / shoe:alexander wang / clutch:louis vuitton / accessories:house of harlow
To be honest, i'm more of a stay at home and watch movies kind of girl when its at night, but during the summer holidays, i go all out! Dangerous heels are a must for me at night, and short dresses are perfect too! I like to switch up my accessories, but i'm loving the bohemian touch right now. Florals are still fun to play with at night, but i would give an extra edge with different types of materials to contrast them. An outfit can't be too sweet now can it?

Cat Fettish?

I used to joke all the time to my friends that if i don't get married by my 20s, i swore i would be that old lady rotting with a bunch of cats and never ending activity of knitting. To be perfectly honest, i hate cats. Im more of a dog person like everyone else in my family. However when i was searching for inspiration, i came across this editorial from Vogue Italia May 2008 magazine. This seriously makes those old ladies we read in books and watch on cartoon look really good! They look like "Yeah I'm single, yeah I'm a widow, yeah i love cats, but i look FIERCE!" Im in love with bright colors now, and this seemed like the perfect post to show what i really mean. Happy Sunday guys and enjoy!

Teen vogue April issue

This month's issue of teen vogue includes a couple of pictures of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth from The last song, who are now dating. For this shoot, the couple, along with the teen vogue team flew to Paris. I am in love with every shoe wore by Miley in these shoots, especially the military boots which was paired with a blue flare shorts, basic white tee, and a black blazer. The story of this shoot was that Miley and Liam were at Paris on vacation, and he takes pictures of Miley in wonderful locations of Paris.

FALL '10 Fashion Week: DVF makeup

Its been a long time since i've blogged, and i decided to do a makeup tutorial today. I've also created Fashionesque on tumblr as well, so its easier for the people there to view my posts. Anyways, i've always wanted to do a tutorial for this look when i saw it on DVF fall '10 fashion week, because it seemed like fun for me to experiment a bunch of colors. The look i did is basically the toned down version of the runway look, and at a much cheaper price. I know a lot of people are using the coastal scents 88 palette and because it's cheaper and more accessible for everyone, so for this look, all shadows are from the palette. To understand what color i am using, i would refer them as (HORIZONTAL X VERTICAL). I apologize for the really bad camera effect because i am still considering to buy a new digital camera, so I am just using my built-in camera from my MacBook. Please comment or leave me a message and tell me what you guys think!
Makeup used
Eyes:
-urban decay brow kit in "Brown Sugar"
-urban decay eye shadow primer in "original"
-Coastal Scents 88 matte palette
-Maybelline mascara in "Magnum Volume Express"
Face:
-M.A.C bronzing powder in "Golden"
Lips:
-M.A.C lipstick in "Equality"
First i'd start of with my normal foundation routine and would do my eye brows. I use the darker shade from Brown Sugar by urban decay, and fill in my brows. I'd then continue and extend it a little further down to the temples.
Next, i use my urban decay eye shadow primer in Original and rub it all over my eye lid and up towards my brow.
Then i'd start of using the darkest purple on the coastal scents 88 palette (6x8), and go from the middle of my lid and drag it to the outer corner of my eye.
Then i'd use a reddish brown color (11x7) and apply it mainly at the outer corner of the eye to darken the purple shade. Next i blend 2 turquoise colors (4x5) and (6x5), and apply them closer to the inner corner of my eye.
Lastly, i use the black color (11x8) and gently apply it from the outer corner of my eye and blend it on top all the way until it touches a lighter tone.
Be careful not to apply the shadows too close to your brow for a more subtle look.
Then i highlight just below of my brow with any light color.
Next, i curl my lashes with my Shu Uemura eye lash curler for about 5 seconds and apply my new Maybelline mascara in Magnum.
Time for the blush. I am using a M.A.C bronzer in Golden, which is really light and keeps that paleness yet freshness in your cheeks. Apply that from your apples all the way to your forehead and blend.
Finally for the lips, i use a M.A.C lipstick in Equality and dab it all the way to give a very nudie shade which would help to bring out the eyes.

How to wear: Camel and Khaki

Kate Hudson

Kristen Bell, Jennifer Aniston, Rihanna

The Khaki trench first started out in the early 20s and has lived on to this day. Now Khaki blazers, jackets, shorts and fancy pants are created to live up its standards with the classic trench.
I feel that the easiest way to wear Khaki would be a simple french navy blue and white stripped shirt with khaki shorts and a khaki blazer, paired with aviator glasses to finish the look. It'll also be simpler if matched with a simple plaid button down shirt in exchange of the blue and white stripped shirt, tucked into a cute pair of camel trousers (what Kristen Bell and Rihanna are wearing) and paired with a buckled ankle boot.
The best places to shop Camel clothing online would be www.theory.com, because it also shows you how to wear it without looking tacky.
