What to wear : back to school

I've always wanted to wear what i wanted to school, but i gotta stick to the uniform! But anyways this is something i would wear back to school. I got super inspired after reading the skinny blog especially when Nicole, the petite ANTM winner was in one of the ads. I feel like these topshop makeup is really cute, not that i have any (but i really want them!). Here's the Forever 21 lookbook.

Te Amo inspired

After watching Rihanna's latest music video Te Amo, i really got inspired to make a polyvore post. Other than the strange love falling between Rihanna and the mexican beauty, the lace and feathers that Rihanna wore was too amazing! To tame it all down for a party, I put a terribly expensive ensemble, but hey I love it! I chose a balmain dress because of the feather and studded details, showing a rock and roll thing which is further defined with the Guiseppe Zanotti mirrored shoe and studded clutch. Then, i selected an electronic blue chunky bracelet and a pair of Asos fingerless gloves. For nails, i chose this electronic blue O.P.I color called "Blue my mind". For makeup, i love these quads from Chanel and NARS, and from what I've seen from Rihanna, I'd do a smokey eye almost all over the eye, but keep a soft golden lid for a contrasting effect. For lips, I'd go with a dark plum lip and tinted lipglass from M.A.C.

What to wear : girls night out

I know i already did a girl's day out post, but it wouldn't be complete without showing you my options for the night out part right? Personally, I love love love wearing easy and light dresses for the night, and throwing on a blazer with killer heels. For this look, i went with a golden palette, just because i got really inspired by all the lights i've been seeing around at night. I chose a topshop tie dye cover-up dress and gold boyfriend blazer. I also came across these topshop wedges which are soo amazing i had to included it. As for accessories, i chose this ridiculously expensive hermes bracelet and a cool charles hubert necklace-watch. I feel that for night, its best to keep the accessories to a bare minimum, so that the total focus isn't on your glitziness and the fact that you're super comfortable with whatever you have on. Moving on to makeup, I am totally loving the coral look all over, but smokey on the eyes to give a mystery feel. Perfect for the night time either you're going out for the movies or out for drinks with a few friends. To keep all of your junk, I took a step back from small clutches for a while and threw on this oversized red chanel bag. What would be better than having all of your stuff with you at all times?

What to wear : camping trip

First off, sorry i havn't posted anything for so long! When i'm on vacation, i tend to have so much fun, by the time i come home its hard not to fall asleep! So I'm blogging while listening to California Gurls by Katy Perry, and I can't help but add candies and sweets all over. This might be a little late, but better than never eh? When camping, most girls think, comfy t-shirts, sweat pants, a hoodie and flip flops. I'm thinking, graphic printed tank tops or crop tees, with printed shorts and gladiator sandals. When it gets cold, a boyfriend cardigan is always the right way to go. Also, I like to add fun colors around, with bright colored watches and wayfarers. For makeup, I chose a soft blush tone and trio eye shadow palette from NYX, perfect for traveling during camp. For lips, coral is the best shade, and don't forget to bronze and shimmer after you moisturize!

What to wear : Airport

So here I am, blogging away next to an empty suitcase. I've spent a couple of days now figuring out what on earth I should pack, especially when my ticket and passport is staring at me. I always loved traveling, not so much the packing. So i went on to think about what to wear, and I decided to blog about it as well. By now, I bet everybody who follow my blog can figure out that I am OBSESSED with these Louis Vuitton city guide books. Its about USD$30, and it has maps and directories to the most expensive and elite places in each country. Speaking of Louis Vuitton travel, I'm also obsessed with these cabin bags, particularly the white checkered ones. This would be perfect to store practically everything you need from a 1 hour flight up to the 24 hour flight and more. I don't usually like wearing makeup when traveling, but lip balm and gloss are totally essential. I also chose a subtle brown-gray toned nail polish for a very chill look. Moving on, I'd think a simple shirt and jeans on a plane, but why not step it up a notch with a sailor shirt and tie dyed skinny jeans. After looking at Kim Kardashian and Dakota Fanning's looks on airplanes, I totally fell in love with the over-the-knee boots in airplanes. Here I chose flat soled OTK boots with cool detailing, and paired it with a leather military jacket. Now, I wouldn't wear contact lenses in the plane because of the dryness in the plane, so glasses are the best option (check out the awesome chanel shades with the pearls by the side!). Summer favorites

The holidays are here, and after going through a bunch of sales and limited edition items, i've decided what i really really love so far. I noticed a lot of rompers especially in places like topshop and forever 21. Getting into the floral thing really made me want these floral rompers, and then pairing it with a leather blazer, tights and these clogs that i picked out. Moving on, skin care is really important, and i've found some interesting things at The Body Shop. Seaweed pore perfector and the cocoa butter moisturizing stick is a definite must have in your purse! From Benefit, You Rebel is a tinted foundation/sunscreen/lotion and its perfect for this kind of crappy weather we're all facing. I also found Confessions of a Concealaholic by Benefit amazing, just because it has all the concealer you need: Face primer (that gal), color corrector (erase paste), strength concealer (boi-ing), eye brightener, lemon aid and special brushes. MAC's new collection, To the Beach, is truly, in my opinion, one of the best in MAC history so far, especially the shimmery bronzer (quick, it sell out really fast). So thats basically my favorites this summer!

Getaway to Paris

Its my first time using Polyvore, so tell me what you guys think! Paris have always been a go to for vacation spots, and the environment there has always inspired me to this day. Even as a 9 year old kid to Paris for her first time, I still wished I wore better clothes that time. Florals i find, are especially appropriate for this romantic city, and therefore i started the outfit from there. Its summer, so shorts and sandals are a must! The jacket that i have picked out screams parisian to me, and the hat adds a summer vibe to the look. For makeup, I'd go with a more romantic feel, with a neutral and pinkish eye, little bit of blush and a coral toned lip. Fragrance in Pariee, Chanel No. 5. Nail polish, nude ish/pink ish tone. Of course, i always like to add something expensive to the look, which in this case would be a Hermes Birkin bag just because.

This spring season, designers have reached and discovered a dutch tradition of Clogs, but improved it with many different twists. Louis Vuitton has added a little bit of heel with buckles and colors to give a fun and comfortable shoe, while Chanel stayed true to the dutch accent, however with a chunky wooden heel, platforms and studs. Miu Miu looked very similar to the Chanel clogs, however they decided to change the patterning to match the spring collection outfits, and Prada is just amazing. With a very technological take to the vintage and traditional clog, it had been crystallized and it just reminds me of what Cinderella could have wore, but that wouldn't be such a good idea considering her puffy blue gown. These shoes are now such a big trend that celebrities like Alexa Chung and many other fashion bloggers cannot live without. There are also a few other cheaper options that i have seen in the mall.

Lady Gaga Viva glam

When i saw the ad for the Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper M.A.C Viva glam lipsticks, i knew i had to get a hold of them. Unfortunately i was broke at the moment and i only got the Gaga lipstick which was a neon pink color, instead of the cherry red Cyndi Lauper one. One of the reasons why i chose Gaga was because it was selling out fast, and i couldn't bear not having one. Come on, Girls just wanna have fun!

Hydrating night cream

During spring break, my mother came to visit me and she bought this Lancome night cream for me to try. I am not a fan of using many products on my face, but since it costed a lot, i decided to give it a try and do a review on it. This is my honest opinion, and i really grown to love this product. It moisturizes your face so well and even prevents break outs on the T-zone. It would be perfect for those who live in warm countries.

Eye lash curler

The best eye lash curler in the world! It is an investment and every girl should have this product. I have been using this eye lash curler since last year and i have never had another curler this good. Most makeup artists also recommend everyone to have this curler as it is definitely worth it.

The Magnum Volume express

Available in all drugstores, this cheap mascara is the best thing ever. I am always scouting for better mascaras on a daily basis, and this definitely defines your lashes better. Especially after using the shu uemura eye lash curler, this mascara does its job by pulling it longer and more visible. If you have problems with your short eye lashes like i do, this mascara is perfect!

White fishnet tights

We all love the classic black fishnets, but white has been spotted in many mannequins lately. From Topshop to Forever 21, these tights are worth buying for as it isn't too high end and its perfect for day and night. It also wouldn't look too provocative, and it would actually be cute on really thin and long legs.

March=Spring break. Spring break=Fun! As my family came to visit me in Singapore, we had a chance to visit the new Universal Studios. I wore a forever 21 over sized button-down shirt, a thrift store jean shorts, zebra printed loafers from Aldo paired with my red longchamp tote bag. It was almost the best thing to wear in a theme park except i couldn't ride the Jurassic Park ride because i didn't want my shoes to get wet! Note to self: wear slippers and bring an extra shirt the next time.

How to wear: Camel and Khaki

The Khaki trench first started out in the early 20s and has lived on to this day. Now Khaki blazers, jackets, shorts and fancy pants are created to live up its standards with the classic trench.

I feel that the easiest way to wear Khaki would be a simple french navy blue and white stripped shirt with khaki shorts and a khaki blazer, paired with aviator glasses to finish the look. It'll also be simpler if matched with a simple plaid button down shirt in exchange of the blue and white stripped shirt, tucked into a cute pair of camel trousers (what Kristen Bell and Rihanna are wearing) and paired with a buckled ankle boot.

Alice in Wonderland collection

With the movie Alice in Wonderland coming so soon, beauty products had definitely done an incredible job in inventing colors and concepts to match with this classic disney story. O.P.I has recently come up with a limited edition, with 4 different colors in cute petite bottles. These colors are Absolutely Alice, Mad as a Hatter, Thanks so muchness, and Off with her Red. Mad as a Hatter (blue) and Thanks so muchness (berry red shimmer) are both shimmer colors and are filled with different shades, but when mixed together becomes magical. Off with her Red (forth bottle) is a tomato color, but does not stand out as much as Absolutely Alice (first bottle) which is a more common color but totally demands attention.

Unlike the other self tanner i tried from benefit (Jiffy tan), i have to say that honestly, this is way much better. It gives you just a tint of tan and shimmer which is perfect (we're talking about fake tans here). Not to mention, it smells so good, and its very affordable. Available at all Sephora departments.

I'm not a big blush fan, and I always choose bronzers over blushes 95% of the time. However this Benetint has proved to be the simplest blush in the history of blushes! Some people might be afraid if it leaves blotches when applied, but it works fine on most people. I would definitely recommend this product to those who are constantly in school(if your school allow make up), or when you're on the go, you could just carry this easily in your purse and apply it when you need it. Also the great thing about this is that it lasts really long!

This limited addition box of shadows has the best colors i've seen in just the expense of $88. These colors have names such as Mad Hatter, Wonderland and Tea party. It also includes 2 eye liners, and a mini eye primer. The special thing about this box of shadows is that when opened, a pop up picture of Alice in the Mushroom forest would appear and the decor would go around the mirror.

Valentine's Day

In February, a day which is unforgettable would definitely be Valentine's day. This year is extra special just because they created this uber cute movie about the different things that can happen during Valentine's day. Played by almost everyone in Hollywood, there is not much plot to the movie, but i liked it alot, and you would be sure to find me rushing to the counter when the DVD comes out!

This Longchamp classic tote bag comes in various colors, depending on the season. I find this bag is the best for just a regular day out, or maybe when traveling around where you can just dump your stuff inside. When not in use, you could just fold it to a small rectangle and keep it in a dry area, and it would be out of your way. Simple and chic, and totally stylish.

This brow kit is really cute because it is complete with a mini tweezer, angled brush for the brow, a blending brush, an eye liner for a smoky eye (kinda random), 2 different shade of color for your brow, and a brow wax to finish up your look. It contains a mirror, mini tweezer, an angled brush, 2 shades for your brow and could be used as an eye shadow as well, and brow gel/wax for the finished look. This high in demand brow kit comes in an uber cute packaging, and i find it is the most complete kit i have ever found in Sephora. It comes with a mirror, mini tweezer, angled brush, spooley, a brow pencil, conditioning wax, 2 shades for your brow, and 3 stencils to match your desired look. The shades are perfect for brunettes and blondes, and the kit itself are not easily found anymore. However you can order it online here at about USD$35.

I never realized how good these soaps were, until my room mate introduced them to me, and after doing a little more research, i got crazy and just want to get a hold of it as soon as possible! These soaps are not only sweet smelling, but also really unique and is used in its own special way. Unfortunately Lush is only available in US and the UK, but you can order it online right here. Price points are from USD$7 up to USD$20 depending on which type of soap you buy. Personally, its better to go to the shop and decide what you want to buy instead of ordering it online, because the range of scents are very wide and you might enjoy the experience as well. (PS most of these soaps go better when used in the tub)

Coastal Scents 88 makeup palette

I had just received this in my mail yesterday and was amazed by its quality! Each color might be relatively small, but the pigmentation of each shadow is amazing, and when compared to MAC, they are almost the same of quality. Considering the price as well, this palette is perfect for those who are starting out with makeup, or maybe just wanting to get colors that you don't necessarily use on a daily basis, but find yourself searching for that one color at the drugstore. Just got this one in my mail today and was blown away. Unlike normal concealers, this particular one has different colors to correct your uneven skin tone. The mint green shade is to cover reddish blemishes around the sides of your nose and cheeks, the yellow shade is to hide black/blue/purple imperfections, lavender shade is to even out skin tones for people with yellow or olive undertones, and the sky blue shade is to cover uneven tans. Victoria's Secret lip gloss Beauty Rush

I started using Beauty Rush by Victoria's Secret a year ago as my friend got it for me as a gift, and i fell completely in love with it. It is perfect for a regular lipgloss, or to sass up a more dramatic look, or to mix and match with other lip glosses to give a nice and clean new shade to perfect your look.
