At the age of sixteen, Marc Jacobs met designer Perry Ellis while working as a stock boy at the Upper West Side boutique Charivari, who encouraged him to apply to Parsons the New School for Design and mentored him while he was a student. Eight years later, Marc Jacobs produced his first grudge collection for the Perry Ellis label. Today Marc Jacobs is one of the most well-known and closely watched designers in the world, helming his own signature label, a diffusion line, and the French luxury brand Louis Vuitton.
Marc Jacobs Ready-To-Wear Collection
This fall, Marc Jacobs still inherited the grudge look but collaborated it with rock glam. The entire collection was unique in its own way, and each garment was dramatically made, making it punk-ish. As we all know, fall is the most important season in fashion, and Marc Jacobs totally made use of that fact.
Marc by Marc Jacobs Ready-To-Wear Collection
We all know the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection was meant for teenagers, thus the fun colors, cutting and texture of the fabric. I had always liked the idea of socks tucked in boots the way Marc Jacobs does them, and I chose this look from the entire collection just because it is basically what all teenagers need this fall. Blazers, trousers, scarfs, boots, brightly colored socks are not only a trend, but literally the classic of the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection.
